Inspection
In addition to third party inspection, BigInch also incorporates hold points at specific intervals during a project. Many of the hold points are in process inspections and are outlined in our quality program. The hold points verify that: Welder test papers are up to date Correct welding procedures are used Correct welding processes are used Correct materials are used Dimensions are verified pre- and post-fabrication X-ray numbers, welder stencil and spool drawing numbers are recorded Prior to hydrotest, all piping is suitable for the pressure required Information on the hydrotest letter is correct Certifications on hydrotest equipment is up to date Safety measures are in place Hydrotest procedure is followed After hydrotest piping is dewatered, dried and blown out Before sandblasting, openings are covered; nameplates, tags and handles are masked Correct blast media is used Correct blast profile is achieved Correct coating is used Correct mils are attained Spool drawing numbers are transferred to the exterior of the pipe Pieces to be shipped are properly identified on packing lists Proper padding is used Load is secured properly |
