The History of BigInch

BigInch Fabricators was incorporated in 1998. Since that time we have grown from 11 full time employees to 30. There have been as many as 200 temporary workers on projects through out the Eastern half of the United States.

Our primary focus is on the fabrication and installation of natural gas and oil pipeline compressor/pumping stations, and related pipeline appurtenances. We also fabricate piping for other pipeline contractors. This gives us the unique ability to enter markets that would be closed to most contractors of our size. To explain further, “mainline” pipeline contractors are very specialized in their ability to mobilize to most anywhere in the United States. Their equipment is designed to be easily transportable as most pipeline installations are many miles in length. What mainline contractors lack is the ability to efficiently fabricate the compressor/pumping stations and other piping assemblies that are usually included with the lay of a new pipeline. We can give mainline contractors an edge over their competition or if they already have a project awarded to them, they can increase their bottom line when using us for the fabrication.

In addition to the fabrication and installation work, we also provide specialized services to the gas/oil companies. We can service and provide D.O.T. required maintenance to the installations as well. We provide an emergency call out service to our customers on a 24/7 basis. We can mobilize a crew with equipment in as little as 4 hours.

Our primary service area is the eastern half of the United States but we have bid projects as far away as Washington State and have completed fabrications for Colorado and Wyoming.
Our customer base consists of 25 natural gas and oil companies and 15 mainline pipeline contractors.
